Sought job: Ingenieur géologue/géotechnique

I wish to apply for the role of Geotechnical Engineer which I find very interesting because it is
in accordance with my training. Please find enclosed my CV for your consideration.

As you can see from my attached CV, I have already completed both a
5-year degree in Geological Sciences
and a 5-year degree in Geotechnical
Engineering at the Complutense
University of Madrid, attaining a 2:1 grade in both of them. I believe the
knowledge and skills built up during this time make me the perfect candidate
for the role.

The position particularly interests me because of my passion for the
engineering and the nature in general. During my course, I studied topics such
as Soil and Rock Mechanics, Foundations and Tunnelling. The skills learnt from these modules have given me an
excellent foundation for building a career as a Geotechnical Engineer.

Aside from my degree, I have built upon my interest in this field
in a number of ways. I have just finished an internship in AGS (a Spanish
consultant's office providing geophysical surveys) which has allowed me to
put my theory for the subject into practice. Moreover, my successful experience
in field work during my years as a student gave me a much more rounded view on
the subject. In such experience, the University lecturers assessed our capacity
to face the real problems in mapping and geological engineering.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to
meeting with you to discuss my application further.
